Description

Volunteers for this position will provide transportation during a scheduled timeframe to clients in or preparing to access Friends of the Family's emergency shelter program. 

 

Basic Transportation Include: 

  • Bringing clients to shelter at time of entry
  • Taking clients to their next destination at time of exit
  • Taking clients to and from court proceedings
  • Taking clients to and from DMV, Social Security Office, etc 
  • Taking clients to and from medical appointments, landlord meetings, and other personal appointments

 

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to complete Victim Counselor Training
  • Have a valid driver's license and insurance 
  • Have a reliable vehicle 
  • Ability to pass basic driving record check
