The Black Hawk Soil & Water Conservation District is partnering with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to host another snapshot water monitoring event. We’ll meet at the Cedar Falls Tourism Center just before 9:00 am, provide a brief overview training session, hand out monitoring equipment and supplies, send groups of volunteers out to 3-4 monitoring sites within Cedar Falls, and then meet back at the Tourism Center to return equipment and the sample data.
This will be our 19th snapshot event for Dry Run Creek. The data gathered here is vital for us to better understand the overall health of the stream and how it is changing over the years. Many volunteers working together is the best way to make this possible.
