UnityPoint Hospice volunteers are a vital part of the team. Volunteers serve patients and their families through visits of companionship or respite. All volunteers must complete the application process (apply; interview; and have background checks, immunization reviews, and references) prior to the start of orientation (described below).
UnityPoint Hospice will be offering a four-part orientation and training course for volunteers beginning Thursday, October 25, 2018. Attendance is required at all four sessions to complete the training. Sessions will take place from 8:30 a.m. until noon on October 25, November 1, November 8, and November 15.
All sessions will take place at UnityPoint at Home, 3731 University Ave. Waterloo. The deadline to apply and set up an interview is Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
