Behind every trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent Scout is a long line of committed volunteers who share those same traits. Volunteering has always been the very bedrock of the Scouting program.
Who can volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America?
· Adults 18 years or older
· Must pass background check
· Must pass Youth Protection Training found on my.scouting.org
· Adults with a passion for making a difference!
Volunteer Opportunities:
· Pack and Troop level leaders and assistants
· Camp and event level leaders and assistants
· Assist office staff (Waterloo) with special projects as needed
The Winnebago Council serves 17 counties throughout North East Iowa and is looking for volunteers in Black Hawk, Grundy, Butler, Franklin, Wright, Hancock, Winnebago, Worth, Cerro Gordo, Mitchell, Floyd, Bremer, Chickasaw, Howard, Winneshiek, Fayette, and Buchanan.
