

Who We Are
Amani Community Services is a domestic violence and sexual assault providing culturally specific services to African Americans statewide.
Amani Community Services was started by three African Americans who saw the need for a culturally specific service agency for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault within their community. Within a year, Amani Community Services opened its doors July 1st, 2014 in Waterloo, IA, with a vision of ending domestic violence and sexual assault in the African American community.
Amani Community Services has recently become a statewide agency. Providing services across the state of Iowa.
What We Do
Amani Community Services provides the following services: individual counseling, group counseling, prevention services, outreach services, personal and legal advocacy, youth programming, and information and referrals.
We do not turn anyone away. All of our services are free and confidential.
We do have a 24-hour crisis line: 888-983-2533.
