Green Iowa AmeriCorps is currently working on removing woody and invasive plants and identifying plant biodiversity in established prairie regions on the UNI campus. Volunteers will work hands-on with our Green Iowa AmeriCorps members in cutting down and removing selected plants to help promote biodiversity and protect our native species. Volunteers will also learn plant identification skills to effectively identify plants for removal and categorize plant biodiversity in maintained regions.
