Purpose: To assist in the quick and efficient set up of a Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) in the event of a disaster in Black Hawk County
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in 1 4 hour training and simulation
- Attend annual refresher course as needed
- When VRC is activated assist in setting up the VRC
- Help train other volunteers who sign up to help in VRC
- Help fill VRC roles as needed (greeter, interviewer, phone bank, etc.)
Commitment: 1 year. Includes training session, in person simulation and attendance at annual refresher course.
