Purpose/Objective
We’re looking for passionate community members to join our volunteer committees and contribute their talents beyond the boardroom. As a Committee Member, you’ll help us fulfill our mission to present the best live music there is by supporting key areas of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend committee meetings (monthly or quarterly, depending on the group)
* Participate actively in discussions and decision-making
* Volunteer your time and skills for committee-led activities and initiatives
* Choose from committees like Programming, Marketing, Finance, Annual Fund, Governance, Membership Experience, Personnel, and Education
Qualifications
Minimum:
High school diploma
Interest in music and the arts
Some college preferred
Preferred:
Experience working or volunteering with a nonprofit
Background in marketing, fundraising, HR, or music education
Experience working with youth or community groups
Leadership Opportunity
This is a great way to get involved, make a difference, and learn the inner workings of the Symphony. Committee members often go on to serve on the Board of Directors.
Time Commitment
Meeting frequency depends on the committee—typically monthly or quarterly.
