Purpose/Objective:
The Board of Directors is the policy making and governing body of the non-profit trail advocacy organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend meetings (6 per year), Review and approve minutes, treasurer's reports and committee reports, Prepare and activate annual plans, Organize and carry out activities, Approve and monitor grants, Serve on at least 1 committee (currently Advocacy, Communications, Festivals, Grants, Membership, Safety & Education, Volunteer, and Water Trails), Participate in some of the organization's volunteer activities.
Qualifications:
Only prerequisites are support for the trail network and desire to serve.
Leadership Opportunity:
Opportunity to serve as officer (president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary), as committee chair (currently Advocacy, Communications, Festivals, Grants, Membership, Safety & Education, Volunteer, and Water Trails) or as the lead for a project or activity.
*Dates: Second Thursday of Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov.
