Cedar Valley Readers are looking for individuals interested in volunteering to screen Waterloo School elementary kids K-5th grade for free glasses through the Vision to Learn program. Free training will be provided on Sept. 21. Opportunities to screen kids will be available mornings and afternoons the following week at five Waterloo elementary schools on September 25 - 29 at various times. Volunteers will spend approx. 5 minutes with a child during their PE class, screening for vision issues. Any child that does not pass the screening will go on to receive a professional eye exam and prescription for free glasses through Vision to Learn.
Training is required. A free training will be held on September 21. Vision screenings will occur at five elementary schools in Waterloo during the following week. Details regarding dates and times will be available shortly.
