We are in need of race day volunteers to assist with the 11th annual 5K & 10 races. Volunteers will assist with serving chili to race participants and volunteers.
We have two new temporary exhibits "From the Prairie to the Trenches" honoring Iowans who served during WWI and "The Cold War Ablaze: Iowans in the Korean War."
In November it will also be the 75th anniversary of the loss of the USS Juneau & the 5 Sullivan brothers during WWII. This race has usually taken place in November, but the date of the race has been moved to Saturday, October 21st this year.
This opportunity would be excellent for groups or families who would like to participate in a volunteer opportunity together.
