Campers ages 6-10 will spend the week discovering what life would have been like for settlers like Laura Ingalls Wilder out on the prairie. Assist them in learning the skills they would need to know as a child growing up during that time period. Help them construct their own log cabin, learn games played on the prairie, and enjoy snacks reminiscent of the times. Assist them in learning about challenges faced by some of Black Hawk County’s first settlers all while exploring pioneering life of the 19th century!
This camp will meet Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - Noon June 19-23rd at the Grout Museum. Volunteer to assist one day or all week!
