Volunteers provide support to ex-offenders working to successfully reintegrate into the community. Through supportive group meetings, the volunteers assist the mentee/circle member (ex-offender) with identifying, planning and achieving goals.
Circle of Supports Member - The Circle of Support and Accountability is comprised of (4-7 people) and supports core members (ex-offenders) through biweekly/hour long meetings as a group.
Mentor - This position provides mentor support through supportive weekly one-on-one meetings with the mentee (ex-offender).
Visitation Volunteer - This position provides support to those currently incarcerated in either Jail or Prison. Activities may include one on one visits with inmates to listen to and support their concerns, leading or supporting liturgies, prayer services or Bible studies for small groups, or participation in RCIA. Each prison and jail has its own administration and sets its own programs, policies, and procedures. Catholic Charities Jail and Prison Ministry visitation volunteers are also volunteers of the institutions.
