Exceptional volunteers are needed to serve UnityPoint Hospice patients and their families at end-of-life. Orientation will take place at Allen Hospital. Volunteers provide companionship or respite in the patient's own home or in a care facility. Volunteers must apply and complete the interview process before beginning the required 14-hour orientation. Background checks, references and TB testing is required.
Orientation will be 8:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday mornings starting January 17, 2017.
- The four-part orientation begins Wednesday, January 17 and continues January 24, 31 and February 7. All sessions will meet 8:30 am to noon at Allen Hospital.
- There is an application process so it is important for any potential volunteer to contact UnityPoint Hospice before January 10.
