Volunteers needed to advocate, protect rights of long-term care residents
The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman is searching for dedicated volunteers for its Volunteer Ombudsman Program (VOP), with the goal of placing a volunteer in every long-term care facility in Iowa. Volunteers are especially needed in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls area, although volunteer openings exist throughout Iowa.
Lisa Van Klavern, Volunteer Ombudsman Program Coordinator, will be at the Waterloo Public Library in Meeting Room A at 415 Commercial Street on January 30, 2020 from 9:00am to 11:30am to visit with those interested in becoming a Volunteer Ombudsman. Stop by and briefly visit with Lisa to learn more about this unique and rewarding opportunity.
To learn more about the Volunteer Ombudsman Program, contact Lisa Van Klavern at 866-236-1430 or visit the VOP website.
