Who We Are
St. Vincent de Paul was born in 1581 in the village of Pouy, France. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded in 1833 by Frederic Ozanam to help impoverished people living in the slums of Paris.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society's members and volunteers reach out to the most vulnerable in our community through our Conferences, Special Works, and Vinnies shops. Members and volunteers assist people in need and do not discriminate against cultural, religious, or political beliefs.
What We Do
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is dedicated to feeding, clothing, housing, and healing individuals and families in our community who have no where else to turn for help. As important, SVdP provides meaningful opportunities for volunteers to serve their neighbors in need with love and compassion. We provide help for people's physical, mental, and spiritual needs. By doing this with care and respect, we show them that they matter and they are children of God
