Sunrise Children's Zoo

The Sunrise Children's Zoo is located on the National Cattle Congress grounds in Waterloo, IA. The zoo is home to many animals from May-September each year. They are graciously donated for us to use for the summer by a local farmer. This year we have goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, a baby horse, and even a couple peacocks! You can purchase some food to feed the animals for a small fee. At the end of the season, the cats and dogs can be adopted.

The Sunrise Children's Zoo, located on the National Cattle Congress grounds, has been in operation since 1974. It is supported by the membership of the Sunrise Exchange Club of Waterloo, IA. Membership secured funding and provided man-power to build the zoo at inception and continue to do so today.
