Who We Are
The Allison Area Foster Parent Group exists to provide education, information, resources, and support to foster families and families who have adopted children from foster care in Black Hawk, Butler, Bremer, Franklin, and Grundy Counties; to increase community awareness of, support for, and participation in foster parenting and special needs adoption; and to advocate for the needs of foster parents, adoptive parents of special needs children, and the children in their care. What We Do
Provide a variety of services and supports for area foster families and families who have adopted children from foster care. One of those supports is a certified respite program that we operate under at contract with the Iowa Department of Human Services to provide trained and certified respite providers to care for foster children in the home of their foster parents during time the foster parents are away.
