UNI Dance Marathon

The University of Northern Iowa Dance Marathon strives to provide hope and comfort for families with children facing life threatening illnesses by raising money for the Children?s Miracle Network Hospital?s and hosting events that heighten student and community awareness.

UNI Dance Marathon is a student organization that raises money for the University of Iowa Children?s Hospital and the Children?s Miracle Network. The money that is raised goes towards four things; research, education, equipment and enhancements. These four things will help the children and families to feel as close to home as possible during their stay at the hospital. As a first year student organization on the UNI campus, Dance Marathon set a national fundraising record by a first year Dance Marathon, raising more than $56,000 for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital in Iowa City. UNI Dance Marathon is now on its second year with a fundraising goal of $66,000. This event will take place on March 2nd 2013.
