1. Employment Services
These services are highly individualized and are designed to help clients progress toward independently maintaining a job in the community. Staff work with clients to set goals for their productivity, attention, and self-reliance at various local businesses. Soon, clients are confident and prepared to work on their own and apply for integrated positions. Volunteers age 18 and over.
2. Trinkets & Togs Thrift Store
Our agency's largest "fundraiser" is the revenue from our thrift stores. We also serve a large portion of our vocational clients on site. We're known for having everything you want and more than you need! Volunteers age 18 and over.
3. In-Home Supports
Assisting people in their homes to ensure they are living in a healthy and safe environment allows them to maintain their independence. Nursing, assisted living, and group homes are often too expensive and excessive for clients who simply need help with their day to day routines. These services allow our clients to live on their own in the community without being fearful of isolation. Volunteers age 18 and over.
4. Affordable Housing
The Larrabee Center passionately ensures low income people with disabilities and the elderly have adequate and affordable housing options. For this reason we've taken it upon ourselves to provide this service. TLC currently owns 4 properties with 13 individual rental units for which we serve as landlord. We rent the apartments to qualifying clients to increase their independence and safety. Volunteers age 18 and over.
5. Transportation
In a rural area transportation is often the largest barrier for low income people with disabilities and the elderly. A ride to a doctor's appointment or the grocery store can go a long way in maintaining the health and well-being of our clients. Volunteers age 18 and over.
