Who We Are
"To be a showcase for the performing arts in the Cedar Valley, to enhance the economic and cultural development of the city and to be a part of its historical preservation.
What We Do
The CFCT produces five plays per year and manages the Oster Regent Theatre building that has many other rentals and presentations throughout the year. The theatre group provides many opportunities for people to be involved as volunteers in areas of their interest like set building and painting, costume fitting and sewing, props building and painting, front of house ushering, administrative mailings, concessions, etc. The Cedar Falls Community Theatre started in 1978 and is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization filed with the Secretary of State's office. The CFCT was given the Regent Theatre building in 1990. The Theatre group raised and spent 1.25 million dollars in the "Restore the Regent" campaign and the venue reopened in June of 1994. The CFCT will begin its 35th season of producing plays in June.
