Who We Are
Since 1975, North Star Community Services, a non-profit rehabilitative services agency supporting adults with disabilities from Northeast Iowa and beyond. It is North Star's mission to empower each person to realize potential, pursue dreams and enjoy life.
What We Do
North Star has three locations at which to volunteer in Waterloo, depending upon where your interest lies. One at University Avenue serving adults with a wide range of ability, one on Tiffany Place, (off of Greenhill Rd.) serving those with age-related disabilities, and one off Canterbury Court, (off of Kimball Avenue) for those with an acquired traumatic brain injury, and others in need of a quieter, smaller setting.. There is also a program in Waverly.
