Special Olympics Iowa

SO Iowa is to provided year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We do this by giving the athletes continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendships with their families, other athletes, and the community.

We host area and state events for our athletes across the entire state of Iowa and need volunteers to help make these events run smoothly!
