Who We Are

Our mission is community building through service to the food insecure of Buchanan County, IA. Our primary concern is providing a five-day supply of nutritionally balanced meals with genuine friendliness and regard for the dignity of our clients. To accomplish that goal, we call upon the local community for funding and volunteer staffing. Clients, donors, and volunteers who are diverse in age and backgrounds interact and form relationships. Our concern for each other extends to the earth, as well. Partnering with local restaurants and retailers, we rescue foods that would otherwise go to the landfill, getting it to people who are in need. Our attitude is, "Each person who walks through our door is valued and shall be treated with respect."

What We Do

Foods are presented in a grocery store format so you can choose what you want and use!

We are dedicated to the ideal that no one should ever go hungry from lack of resources or choose between groceries and other vital necessities like medicine and housing.

Every person is worthy of respect. Seeking help should be a dignified experience.
