Join the University of Northern Iowa’s Office of Community Engagement and Panther Pantry along with the Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley and the Northeast Iowa Food Bank for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event in the UNI-Dome!
Shift 1 is from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on January 16, 2023. Participants will help package food packs for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in support of their “Backpack Program”. The Backpack Program serves 4,100 children at 159 different schools across northeast Iowa each month. Before school lets out for the weekend, children receive assembled bags of kid-friendly meals and snacks that can fit in their school bags.

Individuals: Click the "Respond" button in the upper right-hand corner.
Groups: Click the "Respond as a Team" button in the upper right-hand corner. If you register as a team, please include the first and last name of each team member along with their email address.
Families: Click the "Respond as a Team" button in the upper right-hand corner. Please include the first and last name of each family member and include an email address if applicable.
You will have the opportunity to add names of participants at a later date if you aren’t sure who will be attending yet.
The team leader (person who registers the team) will be "electronically signing" two waivers on behalf of all members. If your team members would like to receive a copy of both waivers before giving the team leader consent, contact Lauren Finke at lauren_finke@vccv.org.
If you would like to donate to the University of Northern Iowa's Panther Pantry, there will be a van outside of the check-in area for individuals to donate non-perishable foods or money.
