Volunteer: ¡Fiesta! Volunteer Opportunities

¡Fiesta! is a free, family-friendly festival that features food, entertainment and education focusing on Latin American countries. The festival is happening downtown Waterloo at the RiverLoop Amphitheater on July 18, 2026. In addition, representative from the community will be walking in the My Waterloo Days Parade on Friday, June 5. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the day, including set up, tear down, festival maintenance, assisting the piñata team,  working in the bar tents and more! The Waterloo Center for the Arts stimulates inquiry, provokes dialogue & connects people through the arts. Friends of the Art Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Waterloo Center for the Arts and its cultural programs, events, exhibitions, and art collections through fundraising efforts and volunteerism.

Work alongside Friends of the Art Center and become a board member! Meetings are held in-person monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month starting at 5:30pm.

The Center’s mission is to stimulate inquiry, provoke dialogue & connect people through the arts. The Phelps Youth Pavilion, Riverloop Amphitheatre & Expo Plaza and Waterloo Boathouse are all under the center's purview. 

The Commission meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month starting at 3:30pm. Meetings may be virtual or in-person.
