Needs From: Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley

Volunteer Drivers with a good driving record are needed to assist in multiple Salvation Army programs. Volunteer drivers will use the Salvation Army vehicles. Background Check and MVR required.

Food Donation Pick up Routes on Tuesday/Thursday morningsAfter School Program Youth Center Member Pick ups Bell Ringer Routes

Assist with meal preparation, keeping food stocked (served cafeteria style), greeting clients, serving, and cleaning. Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes and head covering (e.g.: ball cap). Hairnets, aprons, and plastic gloves will be provided.

Help with sorting, bagging/boxing, and distribution of fresh produce and perishable food items on giveaway days.

 

About this Need: Every Tuesday & Thursday │ 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. │ The Salvation Army Office at 89 Franklin St.

Assist staff with answering phones, data entry, filing, special events and other needs that arise.

 

About this Need: Monday, Wednesday & Friday │ 9a.m. to noon │ The Salvation Army Office at 89 Franklin St.

Using a Salvation Army vehicle, volunteer will pick up donations from various businesses in Waterloo/Cedar Falls on the mornings of giveaway days. 

 

About this Need: Every Tuesday & Thursday │ 7:30a.m. to noon

Assist staff with building maintenance. Aid in such things as sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing floors, clean windows, picking up trash and maintaining restrooms.

 

About this Need: Monday—Friday │ 9a.m. to 3p.m. Approx. 3-hours per shift.  │ The Salvation Army Office at 89 Franklin St.
