Purpose: To support survivors of sexual assault. Responsibilities: Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to hospital calls to support survivors of sexual assault. What does the organization have in place to support the volunteer?Training: 30-hour Victim Counselor Training, provide resources, mentoring, and support. How will this help the organization?Impact of assignment: This will assist our ability to provide more support to survivors of sexual assault. Benefits to volunteer: Development in counseling, networking, increase public speaking skills, gain experience in victim services. Qualifications: For individuals 16 and over. No experience is needed, we will provide training. Qualifications include empathy, communication skills, and patience. Background checks will be required upon completion of the training.
