The Family YMCA of Black Hawk County is throwing a block party celebrating 150 years in the Cedar Valley. The YMCA is expecting 1500 guests and need assistance to ensure the event runs smoothly. Volunteer opportunities include staffing the check in table, assisting with parking, facilitating the Family zone games, security for Beer Tent, and other odd tasks given.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 29 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. with shifts occurring in two-hour increments. 15 volunteers, age 18 and older, are requested for each shift.
