Volunteer: Receptionist

House of Hope is looking for a friendly individual to answer phones and greet guests as they come into the office. Responsibilities will include

Provide exceptional customer service to guests, donors, volunteers and potential program participants Facilitate a warm and welcoming environment during business hours Answer incoming calls and occasionally take messages. Light administrative duties Light cleaning and dusting in front and office areas. Gain an understanding of House of Hope processes in order to provide accurate information and represent the organization in a positive manner

 

 

The shifts can be split among volunteers.

Volunteer: Childcare Volunteer

What does the organization need?

Purpose: 

The volunteer's main purpose is to care for and be attentive to the children in your care. Quality care helps children build positive coping skills and feel safe and cared for. Childcare not only provides a valuable connection point for children, but it also gives the mothers at House of Hope the chance to attend a variety of programs that our organization offers for our participants.

Responsibilities: 

Provide support and positive play interactions for infants through school-age children at the House of Hope. Volunteers are encouraged to engage in active and creative play including but not limited to floor play, crafts, board games, outdoor, and imaginative play. 

Training Provided:

Staff will always be available for on site support. We provide a Trauma Responsive Approach training.

Impact of Assignment:

Childcare volunteers allow mothers to attend Life Skills class. House of Hope can't do this on our own. Your participation will help the future generation break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Benefits to volunteer: 

You will gain experience in working with children. Volunteers will have the opportunity to create positive play interactions and practice a redirecting method.

The Clinic is joining other Health Centers across the nation in celebrating National Health Center Week 2021. In celebration, the Clinic is hosting a Free Garage sale. Everyone is welcome. This event will take place on August 9th, 2021.
