Green Scene of Black Hawk County

Green Scene is a nonprofit, volunteer organization whose primary mission is providing trees for planting in public areas within Black Hawk County, Iowa.

Through our educational programs, symposia, and our involvement with the schools, we educate the public about trees and horticulture. We began in 1976 in response to an outbreak of Dutch Elm Disease in our area. Today, as a result of income raised through our annual May plant sale, we sponsor tree plantings throughout Black Hawk County.
