Who We Are
The Job Foundation is a financial education and mentoring program making a long-term investment in youth growing up in low-income households in Waterloo. The Job Foundation equips K-12 grade students with knowledge, tools, and assets to become financially independent adults.
What We Do
The Job Foundation (pronounced: jōb) is a local organization founded in 2006 by Mike and Jennifer Brost in honor of their stillborn son, Job.
The mission is to to equip K-12 students and their families for economic advancement.
Students who attend a Waterloo Elementary School and reside in a low-income household are eligible to enroll in the program. Once a student is enrolled, they stay in the program until High School graduation. Students receive financial and leadership education, conditional earnings based on school performance(attendance, grades, & behavior), and mentoring.
